Selwyn House

From their workshop in rural Northamptonshire, woodworkers Sean Best and Ellie Smalls create handmade wooden tableware for the modern home, using exclusively British-grown timbers.

Sean and Ellie at Selwyn House have been coming to see us for years now and its been great to see their business grow from strength to strength. Early visits saw them selecting 3 – 4 boards of oak to cover craft fairs and shows they were exhibiting at. Before we knew it they required van loads of boards to fulfil orders being sent to high end retailers all around the world!

Sean and Ellie now trust us to select the high quality timber they require and organise a courier to transport it down to their workshop, keeping them in the workshop doing what they do best!

From their work in collaboration with Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, Sean and Ellie recommended us to carry out the sawmilling and seasoning works associated on the award winning “Grown at Kew” range. This has been a fantastic project to be a part of and we’re proud to work alongside Selwyn House and Kew gardens on a collection that celebrates sustainably sourced timber with excellent provenance and exceptional craftsmanship behind each piece.
